The cover of Employment Review promises to let new college grads, job seekers, relocating professionals in on the top 20 pick cities in their annual America's Best Places to Live and Work.
Based on research of 300 cities, the research staff uses criteria such as unemployment rates, population, cost of living, a healthy economy and job opportunities to help them narrow the list down to just twenty.
The number one pick is a mid-sized metropolis on the West Coast of Florida - Sarasota- whose business sector is booming. High tech, research-based businesses involved in medical advances and telecommunications are contributing to their growth. Average year-round temperature of 72 degrees are part of the tropical paradise and the Gulf of Mexico provides some of whitest sandy beaches you will see anywhere in the United States. Sarasota is proud of their cultural activities including the arts scene, theater, ballet, opera, jazz and museums, galleries and film festivals.
