Recently, the President was commenting on the high cost of gasoline. He said he wished he had a quick fix, but acknowledged there is no quick fix.

Then he said that at least, Congress should pass his Energy Bill. In the next sentence, he acknowledged that the Energy Bill's passage will do nothing to lower gasoline prices.

Last week the House passed the Energy Bill. I hope the Senate does not pass this misguided bill. I think the bill is great for producers of energy and bad for all of the rest of us.

P.S. - it would help a lot if we all stopped buying Hummers and the like. That should be energy bill number 1. But we Americans don't learn our lessons the easy way.
